Partnerships & Collaborations

mdeducational foundation collaborates with like-minded organisations to shape the future together by pushing for change – aiming for a world in which every student has access to wellbeing support they need – without delay

Our Partnerships & Collaborations

mdeducational foundation is a charity prioritising student wellbeing. We are on a mission for all post-16 students to feel supported in every aspect of their wellbeing, helping them on their journey to a brighter future.

At mdeducational foundation, we believe in the power of collaboration to create lasting impact. By partnering with like-minded organisations, we extend our reach and enhance our ability to support the wellbeing of students across the UK and Ireland. Our partnerships & collaborations are built on shared values and a common goal: to provide every student with the support they need to thrive, through education and beyond.

Through our collaborations, we join forces by sharing valuable resources and support with leading charities and organisations to address the wellbeing challenges faced by young people today. With our key partnerships & collaborations, we work together on equipping our Wellbeing Leads with up-to-date skills and knowledge, continuously developing our wellbeing curriculum and finding effective solutions to help us pioneer a brighter future for our young people.

PAPYRUS Prevention of Young Suicide
HOPELINE247

PAPYRUS Prevention of Young Suicide

mdeducational foundation is delighted to collaborate with PAPYRUS Prevention of Young Suicide; a leading charity dedicated to the prevention of suicide and the promotion of positive mental health and emotional wellbeing in young people.

PAPYRUS exists to reduce the number of young people who take their own lives by shattering the stigma surrounding suicide and equipping young people and their communities with the skills to recognise and respond to emotional distress. PAPYRUS believes that no young person should have to struggle alone with thoughts of suicide.

Our collaboration with PAPYRUS will provide mdeducational foundation with resources that help our Wellbeing Leads in the promotion of positive mental health and overall wellbeing for students. This includes suicide prevention training and access to debrief services for the schools we work with.

PAPYRUS offers a helpline called HOPELINE247; a free and confidential call, text, email and webchat service, which is available 24/7, every day of the year. HOPELINE247 is staffed by trained suicide prevention advisers to help keep young people safe from suicide.

Our partnership with the university provides mdeducational foundation with excellent tools and resources for research and innovation to continue our journey prioritising student wellbeing. This will help us further develop and improve our wellbeing curriculum and support our approach to normalising student psychological fitness and resilience through guidance and early intervention.

We’re proud to provide funding for one of the schools, St Mary’s College, that participated in research with Ulster University. Students from this school presented at the Second International Digital Mental Health and Wellbeing Conference in 2024, a conference showcasing digital innovation in mental health interventions, e.g. mental healthcare apps and web apps to support a person’s mental health and wellbeing.

mdeducational foundation joined this international gathering to share insights into our coproduction work with 16-18-year-olds. Putting young people at the centre of our wellbeing programme. mdeducational foundation was also delighted to attend and exhibit at this event.
